Andrzej Janik, Doctor of Laws, professor of Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), has been practicing in the area of legal advise since 1985, primarily in the banking sector (Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SA, Bank Handlowy International S.A. Luxembourg), then, from 1996 to 2004 – as co-founder and partner – within a large German multinational legal firm. Since 2004 he has been active as free lance running an independent legal office.
Advisory services rendered focus on commercial contracts, companies, banking, real estate, investment and construction projects, labor law and M&A including merger control. The core-business includes preparation of due diligence reports on enterprises and transactions scheduled as well as of legal opinions required as precondition for operation of investment and financial projects. The scope of customers covers banks, insurance firms, investors and developers, large and medium-size manufacturing and trade businesses. Legal assistance to foreign investors in Poland is a substantial part of the practice.
